MERRY XMAS

This is the last Christmas card I'm sharing over here this year and it is also my favorite one. I used distress inks on watercolor paper and splashed a little bit of water as well as violet gouache all over the card for a splatter effect. I die cut the letters from some silver glitter paper and filled the shaker area with lots of pretty sequins.

Christmas Shaker Card

For this card I used some Christmas patterned paper and ran it through my die cutting machine with an Avery Elle border die to create the scalloped edges. I also die cut a circle and filled the shaker area with lots of shiny red and gold sequins.

Bright Snowflake

This is my last design created with the "Negative Snowflake" die by Create A Smile Stamps. The look of pink and purple inks blended together is one my favorites and I love how it stands out against the white cardstock.

Snowflakes

There are so many ways to use the "Negative Snowflake" die by Create A Smile Stamps. I have recently shown two expamples here and here. For today's card I die cut the snowflake out of some heavyweight cardstock and used it as a stencil to achieve a colorful ink blended look. I intend to use this stencil all year round, not just for my Christmas cards. The German sentiment says "Merry Christmas".

Christmas Trees

I'm not going to lie. When I'm running out of time and I have a zillion cards to make (like the week before Christmas) patterned paper is my best friend. I love this Christmas tree pattern for a rustic yet playful design. The German sentiment says "Happy Holidays".

Christmas Bear

This is my second Christmas card made with the "Negative Snowflake" die by Create A Smile Stamps. Without a doubt it is one of my favorite products at the moment. I placed a little bear into the center of the snowflake and I really like the peek-a-boo effect. The red and gold sequins add some sparkle to the white card.

Christmas Ornament

I am currently busy creating Christmas cards for family and friends. I love the "Negative Snowflake" die by Create A Smile Stamps. I die cut the snowflake out of some patterned paper and turned it into an ornament.

Flower Power

I truly enjoy creating and looking at flower cards. The "Magic Flowers" stamp set by Create A Smile Stamps is one of my favorite stamp sets and I reach for it all the time. I colored all flowers in with Copic markers as well as the background and decided to break up the pattern by adding a sentiment on kraft cardstock and a bow into the center of the card. The German sentiment says "Congratulations".

Invitation To Coffee

Since I love love love coffee, you will see a lot of coffee-inspired cards on this blog. This invitation can either be given to one friend or it can be "mass-produced" for a special occasion. The German sentiment "Einladung zum" says "Invitation to". Shaker cards usually take a little longer to make but they are worth the effort and will put a smile on someone's face.

Welcome!

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you're here!
While I'm still trying to figure this all out I thought I'd kick off my blog with a quick and easy Christmas card design. Whenever I go for a rather simple design I try to incorporate different textures to give the card a lot of interest. For this card I used vellum with white dots in the background and then I added a bunch of die cut stars from different types of cardstock, cork and glitter paper. The German sentiment says "Merry Christmas".
